7 Importers Bow Out of Appeal of Plywood AD Case at CAFC After Taking Part at CIT

Seven plywood importers will not participate in the appeal of a case on the antidumping duty investigation of hardwood plywood from China after participating at the Court of International Trade. The companies -- Canusa Wood Products, Concannon Corp., Fabuwood Cabinetry Corp., Holland Southwest International, Liberty Woods International, Northwest Hardwood and USPly -- told the court of their decision in a statement last week (Linyi Chengen Import and Export Co. v. In the case, the trade court upheld Commerce's separate rate calculation along with its decisions to exclude Jiangyang Wood and Dehua TB from the AD order and to include Sanfortune Wood and Longyuan Wood (see 2310100045). The ruling was appealed by the U.S. and petitioner Coalition for Fair Trade in Hardwood Plywood, along with exporters led by Linyi Chengen Import and Export Co.
