Clear Terms

Search Primer

Term list: Separate terms with spaces, not commas or semicolons.

Multi-word term: Place inside quotes to ensure an exact match (e.g. "surrogate value").

Acronyms: Use all capital letters to ensure the search is not looking for that letter sequence instead. (e.g., CIT).

Required term: If a term must be included in any resulting articles, prefix it with a plus sign (e.g., CBP +ruling).

Excluded term: If a term should be excluded from any articles being found, prefix it with a minus sign (e.g., ruling -NY).

Simplest form: Use the simplest form of a term (e.g. "russian export control" instead of "russian export controls") or "entity list" instead of "entity listing" or "entity listed").

Mobile Utility Fans Outside Scope of Chinese Handcart AD Order, Commerce Finds

A mobile utility fan imported by HKC is not subject to antidumping duties on hand trucks from China (A-570-891), according to a scope ruling issued by the Commerce Department in April. Commerce found that although the mobile fan matched several characteristics of the hand trucks, it lacked a horizontal projecting edge or toe plate that could slide under loads for lifting or moving.

Wheels Made in Thailand From Chinese Rims or Discs Within Chinese AD/CVD Orders, Commerce Says

Trailer wheels manufactured by Asia Wheel in Thailand using discs and rims produced in Thailand from steel plates from China or a third country are not subject to the antidumping and countervailing duty orders on certain steel wheels 12 to 16.5 inches in diameter from China, the Commerce Department said in a scope ruling issued in April.

In the May 17 Customs Bulletin (Vol. 57, No. 19), CBP published proposals to revoke rulings on ethylene glycol bis M-toly and on an inflatable "Olaf" figure with holly berry motif.

Chinese Motors Not 'Substantially Transformed' Into Actuator Cable Assembles in Mexico, CBP Rules

Actuator cable assemblies assembled in Mexico from Chinese motors and various parts from China, Taiwan, the U.S. and Mexico are products of China based on the motor's predetermined end use, CBP said in a recent ruling -- the first publicly released that cites the Court of International Trade's recent decision in an origin case involving Cyber Power (see 2302270064).
