CBP Adds to List of Parties Qualified to Pay Duties on International Mail Shipments

CBP has added more parties to the list of those qualified to pay duties on international mail shipments, according to an Aug. 26 cargo systems message. The full list is available here.

As defined in the July 30 executive order calling for the suspension of the de minimis exemption, duty on international mail shipments must be paid by the international mail carrier or a qualified party acting in lieu of the carrier, CBP said (see 2508210055).
