Austrian Post to Temporarily Hold International Mail to US Starting Aug. 25
The Austrian Post, Austria's official mail carrier, confirmed that it will be withholding international mail bound to the U.S. starting Aug. 25 as it and its European carriers seek to comply with regulations related to the end of the de minimis exemption on Aug. 29 (see 2508210036).

However, the Austrian Post can handle gifts from private individuals with a value of less than $100, as well as document mailings, the mail carrier told International Trade Today. Users also may use the "Post Express International" service, as these items are subject to a different kind of processing, it said.
