Senate Bill Would Expedite Tech Re-Exports for Certain Allies

The legislation would expand the State Department’s expedited decision-making process for certain export licenses to include re-exports and re-transfers. The expedited process for export licenses was created by Section 1344 of the FY 2024 National Defense Authorization Act (see 2312070054).

The bill was referred to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, where Cornyn is a member.
