US Sanctions Companies, Ships Moving Iranian Petrochemical Products

The State Department this week sanctioned multiple entities and ships moving Iranian petroleum products and petrochemical products, including four sellers and one buyer of hundreds of millions of dollars worth of Iranian energy.

The designations target United Arab Emirates-based Solvent Organics FZE, Alseerah Trading LLC, Harold Trading LLC and Shivnani Organics FZE for exporting millions of dollars worth of shipments of Iranian petrochemical products to third countries. The agency also sanctioned Turkey-based Kimpas Kimyevi Maddeler Pazarlama Ticaret ve Sanayii Anonim Sirketi for importing over $15 million worth of shipments of Iranian-origin petrochemical products from several sanctioned Iranian petrochemical companies.

The State Department also sanctioned Keyhan Sanjesh Azma, an Iranian cargo surveyor and inspection company that has inspected the loading of tankers complicit in working with Triliance Petrochemical, designated by the U.S. in 2020 (see 2001230040).

Also targeted was UAE-based Vroom Marine Venture FZE and its two vessels, Eloise and Olia, for moving multiple shipments of Iranian petroleum products.
