Trump Taps Nominee to Oversee BIS Export Enforcement

President Donald Trump has nominated David Peters to be assistant secretary of commerce for export enforcement at the Bureau of Industry and Security, the White House told Congress April 29.

The White House released no biographical information about Peters, whose nomination was referred to the Senate Banking Committee. Peters would replace Biden administration official Matthew Axelrod, who left BIS in January (see 2501020005).
