  • CBP officers at the Port of Birmingham in Alabama confiscated a shipment of counterfeit U.S. Forever Stamps arriving from, CBP said in a Feb. 21 release. The 200,000 counterfeit stamps had a value of $146,000. CBP said it discovered the stamps at a local sorting facility. Officials singled out two packages for inspection, and upon closer examination, determined that the stamps were counterfeit and violated multiple intellectual property rights laws, CBP said (here).
