- Business resumption for Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism members following the International Longshoremen’s Association strike: CBP said it would afford facilitation benefits to the greatest extent possible and practical to CTPAT members, particularly during the resumption of business due to the International Longshoremen’s Association strike (see 2410010048) (here)
- Electronic Export Manifest (EEM) -- Implementation Guide (IG) updates: EEM will be implementing three validations to promote accurate formatting in the EEM party details (here)
- New Functionality: ACE Reports Recycle Bin feature was released Sept. 20: a Recycle Bin tile is on the ACE Reports landing page, a feature allowing users to retrieve any recently deleted reports from the recycle bin up to a maximum of seven days from the date they were deleted. After that, the deleted reports will be permanently removed (here)
- Temporary guidance on addressing USDA Animal Plant Health and Inspection Service (APHIS) errors: APHIS expects to deploy an update for three identified errors to PRODUCTION Oct. 3, between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. EDT (here)
- Revised deadline for vague merchandise descriptions in ACAS (see 2410010050): CBP has extended the warning period, which will now end on Nov. 11. Rejections will now be effective noon EST on Nov. 12. Testing for Vague Cargo Descriptions is available in the CERTIFICATION environment as of Oct. 2 (here)
- APHIS AQI User Fees: On May 7, Animal Plant Health and Inspection Service published a final rule amending its Agricultural Quarantine and Inspection (AQI) program user fee regulations. APHIS reminds stakeholders that the new regulations and associated user structure went into effect Oct. 1 (here).
