DIS will now continue accepting submissions of “Form 1302A Cargo Declaration - Outward with Commercial Forms” through April 1, CBP said, six months beyond the scheduled Oct. 1 deadline. The agency has delayed the deadline multiple times (see 2209200080 and 2303130012).
CBP said it's continuing to see more participation in EEM and the extension will give users more time to “adequately program and test with their assigned CBP Client Representatives." The agency said it will announce the EEM mandate through an upcoming notice of proposed rulemaking in the Federal Register. "After the announcement, CBP will move to disallow the DIS as an acceptable means to submit the export manifest i.e. CBP form 1302A and its associated documents."
