The group opposed a National Consumer Law Center (NCLC) proposal seeking an automated “opt-out mechanism” on every call containing an artificial or prerecorded voice message. The NCLC proposal is “unnecessary” in light of commission rules, which provide “ample mechanisms for consumers to revoke consent,” ACU said.
