Response code 622 is a fatal error for when the Schedule B/Harmonized Tariff Schedule Number is missing and the Export Information Code isn't listed as "HH" for household goods. Census said a Schedule B/HTS Number must be declared in the electronic export information if the EEI doesn't include any household goods reported with the Code "HH." The filer should verify the Schedule B/HTS Number, correct the shipment and resubmit.

Response code 627 is another fatal error for when the reported Schedule B/HTS Number requires a "1st Unit of Measure Code" to also be reported, but that measure code isn't valid in AES, Census said. The 1st Unit of Measure Code, based on the reported Schedule B/HTS number, "must be a valid code contained in Appendix K, Unit of Measure Codes," the agency said. The filer should verify the 1st Unit of Measure Code required for the Schedule B/HTS Number reported, correct the shipment and resubmit.
