US Adds to Russia Sanctions, Mum on Details
The Office of Foreign Assets Control this week sanctioned one person, two entities and three aircraft with ties to Russia, according to a Jan. 11 update to its Specially Designated Nationals List. The designations target Vladimir Vladimirovich Mikheychik, Ashuluk Firing Range, and Vladimirovka Advanced Weapons and Research Complex. OFAC also sanctioned aircraft with tail numbers RF-78757, RF-82011 and RF-86898.

The SDN List update said Mikheychik has ties to sanctioned Russia defense entity Joint Stock Company the 224th Flight Unit State Airlines. The vessels have ties to Command of the Military Transport Aviation, another Russian defense entity. OFAC didn’t provide more information on the designations, and spokespeople for the agency and the State Department didn’t respond to requests for comment.
OFAC also made several changes to its SDN List, including revisions to the entries for virtual currency exchange Chatex, Joint Stock Company the 224th Flight Unit State Airlines and an aircraft with the tail number RF-82041.
