Sens. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., and Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said Pompeo should “work with Congress on additional efforts to hold Nicaraguan officials accountable.” The letter cited Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega’s “human rights abuses” and keeping of political prisoners.
