RLF/EIP Can Now be Used for Entries Previously Requiring ITA Form 362P
CBP has issued a CSMS message regarding the International Trade Administration's recent announcement that ITA Form ITA--362P, which importers of articles for the handicapped were required to complete in order to receive duty-free treatment, has been discontinued as of May 31, 2010. With the ITA form no longer required, Electronic Invoice Program (EIP) and Remote Location Filing (RLF) participants may now file entries via EIP/RLF on imported goods that previously required the form. (See ITT's Online Archives or 06/07/10 news, 10060603, for BP summary of ITA's announcement.)
