Timely, relevant coverage of court proceedings and agency rulings involving tariffs, classification, valuation, origin and antidumping and countervailing duties. Each day, Trade Law Daily subscribers receive a daily headline email, in-depth PDF edition and access to all relevant documents via our trade law source document library and website.

According to CBP, ADE will allow Trade Account Owners (TAOs) and Proxy TAOs to download (extract) large volumes of data (up to 1,000,000 rows) and to manipulate that data internally in their own system.

CBP Will Provide Telephone Training

CBP states that it will be providing telephone training on the use of ADE for anyone who is interested; however, only the TAO and/or the Proxy TAO will be able to schedule an extract.

The telephone training will consist of two 30-minute classes. To be added to the training list and to select a training date, send an email to ACEaccountsupport@cbp.dhs.gov.

(See CBP's CSMS message for attachments providing (1) instructions on how to schedule an extract and (2) an Excel spreadsheet of data elements available in each extract and the record layout in a Comma Separated Value (CSV) format for each extract.)

(See ITT's Online Archives or 04/03/08 news, 08040315, for BP summary of CBP announcing that ADE functionality would be available by early April 2008.)
