2. USTDA Awards Grants to Help Implement CAFTA-DR
The State Department's Washington File reports that the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) has awarded grants totaling $1.2 million to help implement the U.S.-Central America-Dominican Republic Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA-DR) and to build trade capacity in countries that are parties to the pact. According to the USTDA, the grants represent an investment in specific seaports and airports serving the CAFTA-DR countries. 3. AMS Final Rule Amends Organic Program's National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances
The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) has issued a final rule, effective September 12, 2006, which adds thirteen substances, along with any restrictive annotations, to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances for the National Organic Program, and amends the mailing address for where to file a Certification or Accreditation appeal.
