The Journal of Commerce reports that U.S. Customs and Border Protection is considering requiring an additional ten extra pieces of data from importers, and two extra pieces of data from carriers, for advance cargo manifest purposes. The article adds that CBP will publish a proposed rule on filing these additional data elements (which may include names of addresses of buyers and sellers, where the container is stuffed, and country of origin) in "the not too distant" future. 2. FSIS Issues Notice to Inform Meat and Poultry Preparers of the Need to Ensure That They Maintain Proper Control over the Use of Ingredients

The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a notice on the annual reassessment of HACCP plans, in order to remind establishments that prepare meat and poultry products of the need to maintain proper control over the use of ingredients, including those that present a potential public health concern, and over the ingredient labeling of their products - and to include allergens and food intolerances in their reassessments, in light of the Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act (FALCPA) of 2004. 3. BIS Denies Export Privileges to Amsterdam Conspirator of Toxin Export to North Korea

The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has issued an Order denying export privileges to Kailash Muttreja of MUTCO International of Amsterdam, among others, for any exported item subject to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) for six years. The BIS alleged that Muttreja conspired to obtain and export toxins to North Korea that were subject to the EAR. 4. BIS Denies Export Privileges to Dubai Company Exporting without License

The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has issued an Order denying export privileges to Teepad Electronic General Trading of Dubai for any exported item subject to the EAR for ten years. The BIS alleged that Teepad exported, forwarded, and transferred telecommunications devices to Iran without required licenses or authorization that were subject to both the EAR and the Iranian Transactions Regulations.
