1. Various Postings to CBP's Web Site

SENTRI membership renewal and technology upgrade. CBP has posted a press release and fact sheet announcing that cross-border participants in the Secure Electronic Network for Travelers Rapid Inspection (SENTRI) fast-pass program whose enrollment has or will soon expire may begin to renew their membership during the week of February 20, 2006. Buying prescription medicine from Internet foreign pharmacies. CBP has posted a set of frequently asked questions and answers (FAQ) regarding CBP's enforcement of federal laws regarding the importation of prescription medicines and other medical goods. CBP intercepts fraudulent marked carpets worth over $350,000. CBP has issued a press release announcing that CBP at the Savannah port of entry made a significant seizure of carpets from Egypt bearing false markings of "Crafted with pride in USA" or no country of origin markings at all. CBP has issued messages on a number of antidumping (AD) and countervailing (CV) duty actions, many of which (marked by an * in the action column) were previously published in the Federal Register by the International Trade Administration (ITA) and summarized in International Trade Today.

(The CBP messages marked with an * cover much of the same information as the ITA notices; however, CBP's messages often list the 10-character case number specific to each listed company(s). ITA notices only list the 7-character master case number. In addition, sometimes the master case number for CBP purposes (in parentheses, below, where applicable) differs from the ITA master case number.)
