3. Federal Register Publication of 2nd Quarter FY 2006 Interest Rates for Overpayments and Underpayments of Customs Duties

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has published the interest rates for the second quarter of fiscal year (FY) 2006 for overpayments or underpayments of Customs duties, which are unchanged from the corresponding rates in effect for the first quarter of FY 2006. 4. EC Refuses to Grant Market Economy Treatment for 13 China Footwear Companies

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has reported that the European Commission (EC) has refused to grant market economy treatment (MET) to 13 Chinese footwear companies. HKTDC notes that this refusal comes amidst growing speculation that the EC may introduce antidumping (AD) measures against footwear from China. 5. EC Publishes Textile & Clothing Quotas on China Imports for 2006, 2007

HKTDC reports that the European Commission (EC) has published certain textile and clothing quotas for China imports for the years 2006 and 2007.
