U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued a final rule, effective March 8, 2005, to extend import restrictions on certain categories of archaelogical material from Prehispanic cultures of El Salvador for an additional five years. These restriction were originally imposed by Treasury Decision (T.D.) 95-20. 2. DHS Extends Comment Period on Proposed Rule that Would Allow Certain Aliens to Work Temporarily in the U.S.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued a notice extending the comment period for its January 2005 proposed rule that would create a uniform process to review petitions to allow aliens to perform temporary nonagricultural services or labor in the U.S. DHS will now accept public comments until April 8, 2005.
