The Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) has issued an order which denies a petition by Crowley Logistics, Inc. and Apparel Transportation, Inc. to reverse its decision to issue Apparel Logistics, Inc. an ocean transportation intermediary (OTI) license; revoke or suspend that OTI license; or investigate the issuance of that license. 4. AMS Announces and Issues Procedures for Lamb Promotion, Research, and Information Order Referendum
The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) has announced that referendum (from January 31, 2005 through February 28, 2005) will be conducted under the Lamb Promotion, Research, and Information Order to determine whether those persons voting favor the continuance of the Order. AMS has also published a final rule that establishes procedures for conducting the referendum. 5. Presidential Determination on Insurance Coverage for Commercial Air Carrier Service
President Bush has issued Presidential Determination 2005-15 containing a memorandum for the Secretary of Transportation regarding aviation insurance coverage for commercial air carrier service in domestic and international operations. 6. ITA U.S. Travel and Tourism Promotion Advisory Board to Meet
The International Trade Administration (ITA) has issued a notice to announce that the United States Travel and Tourism Promotion Advisory Board will hold on open meeting in Washington, D.C. on January 12, 2005 in order to discuss the implementation of an international advertising and promotional campaign to promote travel to the U.S. for tourism. 4. NIST Announces Meeting of the National Conference on Weights and Measures
