Electronic Transmission of NAFTA TPL, Beef Export, or ATPDEA Brassiere Certificate Numbers Required Effective Feb 1, 2005
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued three separate ABI administrative messages announcing that the Automated Commercial System (ACS) has completed the system changes to require the trade to electronically transmit the following in the entry summary miscellaneous permit/license field (52 record, positions 30-38) effective with the duty computation date of February 1, 2005:

Canada and Mexico North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) tariff preference level (TPL) certificate numbers;
(CBP notes that HTS 9802.00.8055 will not be subject of the Mexico NAFTA TPL certificate automation requirement as it expires December 31, 2004.)
Beef export certificate numbers for Australia, New Zealand, and Uruguay for designated beef tariff numbers; and
Andean Trade Partnership and Drug Eradication Act (ATPDEA) certificate numbers for HTS 9821.11.19 (ATPDEA brassiere provision).
