U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has posted to its Web site a notice regarding the cancellation of visa, Electronic Visa Information System (ELVIS) transmissions, Guaranteed Access Level (GAL) certifications, and exempt certifications for textile goods exported on and after January 1, 2005 from 44 World Trade Organization (WTO) members listed in CBP's notice. 1. CBP Notice on Cancellation of Visa Requirements, Etc. for Textile Goods Exported from WTO Members on/after Jan. 1, 2005
CBP notes that the cancellation does not apply to Vietnam, and that goods manufactured and exported from Vietnam in 2005 will require visas and ELVIS transmissions. 2. 2005 TRQ on Milk (Whole) and Cream Opens January 3, 2005
CBP has announced that the 2005 tariff-rate quota (TRQ) on milk (whole) and cream provided for in HTS Chapter 4, Subheading 0401.20 will open on Monday, January 3, 2005 at 12 noon E.S.T., or its equivalent in other time zones with a low-duty quantity of 11,356,236 liters. 3. 2005 TRQ on Chocolate and Low Fat Chocolate Crumb Opens Jan. 3, 2005
CBP has announced that the 2005 TRQ on chocolate and low fat chocolate crumb provided for in HTS Chapter 18, Additional U.S. Note (AUSN) 3 will open on Monday, January 3, 2005 at 12 noon E.S.T., or its equivalent in other time zones with the below-listed countries having the following low-duty quantities:

4. 2005 TRQ on Anchovies Opens January 3, 2005
CBP has announced that the 2005 TRQ on anchovies provided for in HTS Subheading 1604.16.10 will open on Monday, January 3, 2005 at 12 noon E.S.T., or its equivalent in other time zones with a low-duty quantity of 3,000,000 kg. CBP has announced that the 2005 TRQ on beef provided for in HTS Chapter 2, AUSN 3 will open on Monday, January 3, 2005 at 12 noon E.S.T., or its equivalent in other time zones with the below-listed countries or areas having the following low-duty quantities:

CBP states that imports under these provisions are subject to regulations issued by the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR).
