ITA Issues Final AD Determination on Wooden Bedroom Furniture from China
On November 9, 2004, the International Trade Administration (ITA) of the Department of Commerce announced its final affirmative determination in the antidumping (AD) duty investigation of wooden bedroom furniture from China (A-570-890).

The ITA found that with the exception of one company, Chinese producers/exporters made sales of subject merchandise to their U.S. customers at less than fair value, with AD margins, as follows:

The ITA notes that the seven mandatory respondents (individually named above) represent roughly 34% by value of all imports of wooden bedroom furniture from China into the U.S.
While the numerous Section A respondents (listed in the ITA's press release) represent approximately 65% by value of all imports of wooden bedroom furniture from China into the U.S.
According to the ITA, the International Trade Commission (ITC) is scheduled to issue its final AD injury determination no later than December 23, 2004. If the ITC finds that a U.S. industry is injured or threatened with material injury as a result of imports of wooden bedroom furniture from China, the ITA states it will issue an AD order and will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to collect AD cash deposits on entries of subject merchandise at the applicable AD rate.
