2. USDA Issues Final Rule on Applications for Dairy TRQ Licensing, Etc.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued a final rule, effective September 1, 2004, that amends the Dairy Tariff-Rate Import Quota Licensing regulations in 7 CFR Part 6 to provide for applications to be submitted via Internet while continuing to permit use of the existing certified mail provision. According to USDA, the requirement that applications be notarized is eliminated. In addition, the final rule corrects certain incorrect section references.
