Information Requirements

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued updated versions of its two sets of frequently asked questions (FAQ) and responses (both revised as of August 3, 2004) on the inbound portion of its final rule on the advance electronic presentation of information pertaining to cargo prior to its being brought into, or sent from, the U.S. for (i) all modes of transportation ("All Modes" FAQ) and (ii) the vessel mode only ("Vessel Mode" FAQ).

August 3, 2004 Versions Reflect Both New and Revised FAQs

CBP's revised "All Modes" FAQ reflects the revision of four existing FAQs (2A, 7, 11A, and 13) and its revised "Vessel Mode" FAQ reflects the revision of two existing FAQs (11 and 14D) and the addition of four new FAQs (20, 21, 22, and 23).
