Column 1 "General" Staged Duty Rate Reductions for Six HTS Numbers Continue Through 2008
Sources state that there are a few products that have Uruguay Round column 1 "general" staged duty rate reductions through 2008 (rather than through 2004), which Presidential Proclamation 6763 lists (using 1995 tariff numbers) as:
1701.11.50 | 1701.91.30 | 1702.90.20 |
1701.12.50 | 1701.99.50 | 2106.90.46 |
HTS 1701 provides for cane or beet sugar and chemically pure sucrose, in solid form.
HTS 1702 provides for other sugars, including chemically pure lactose, maltose, glucose and fructose, in solid form; sugar syrups not containing added flavoring or coloring matter; artificial honey, whether or not mixed with natural honey; caramel.
HTS 2106 provides for food preparations not elsewhere specified or included.
(Subscribers should note that certain countries' products under a number of tariff numbers will continue to benefit from column 1 "special" staged duty rate reductions under a variety of free trade agreements (FTAs), such as the Jordan Free Trade Agreement (JFTA), the Chile FTA (UCFTA), and Singapore FTA (SFTA) .
