CBP Issues Third Version of its FAQ on Mandatory Advance Electronic Cargo Information Requirements
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued its third version (dated April 2, 2004) of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and responses regarding its final rule requiring the advance electronic presentation of information pertaining to cargo (sea, air, rail, or truck) prior to its being brought into, or sent from, the U.S.

CBP also continues to note that this FAQ pertains to inbound cargo only.)

Third Version of FAQ Contains 5 Revised and 2 New FAQs
CBP states that its April 2, 2004 version reflects the revision of five questions - FAQs 2, 27, 28C, 39C, and 41.
In addition, CBP states that it has added two new FAQs on (1) Vessel International Maritime Organization (IMO) Number (FAQ 43) and (2) Lightering Vessels (FAQ 44),
