Highlights of USTR's CAFTA Resources

Reports for the following Trade Advisory Committees are available at http://www.ustr.gov/new/fta/Cafta/advisor/index.htm:

Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations (ACTPN);

Trade and Environment Policy Advisory Committee (TEPAC);

Intergovernmental Policy Advisory Committee (IGPAC);

Labor Advisory Committee (LAC);

Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee (APAC);

Six Agricultural Technical Advisory Committees for Trade (ATACs);

Four Industry Functional Advisory Committees (IFACs); and

  1. Industry Sector Advisory Committees (ISACs).

(It is not readily apparent whether these committee reports take into consideration the recent conclusion of negotiations to integrate the Dominican Republic into the CAFTA, as some reports explicitly mention the Dominican Republic and some do not. However, it should be noted that the date on some of the reports precedes the conclusion of negotiations to integrate the Dominican Republic into CAFTA.)

In addition, the USTR's Web site also contains links to the draft text of the CAFTA, the USTR's Congressional notification letters, fact sheets, USTR press releases, etc. These documents can be accessed at http://www.ustr.gov/new/fta/cafta.htm.
