Textile and Apparel Import Statistics for the 12-Month Period Ending November 2003
The Commerce Department's Office of Textiles and Apparel (OTEXA) has issued its November 2003 Textiles and Apparel Import Report, which includes statistics on general imports (both quota and non-quota) of cotton, wool, man-made fiber, silk blend, and non-cotton vegetable fiber textiles and apparel.

Compared with the 12 months ending November 2002 (December 2001 through November 2002), for the 12 months ending November 2003 (December 2002 through November 2003):
Textiles & Apparel - apparel imports increased 11.0%, textile imports increased 12.7%, total textile and apparel imports increased 11.9%, and textile and apparel imports from specific countries or regions changed as follows:

Yarns, Fabrics, and Made-Up Miscellaneous Articles - yarn imports decreased
- 1.9%, fabric imports increased 1.2%, and imports of made-up and miscellaneous articles increased 28.9%.
(OTEXA's Textiles and Apparel Import Report provides comparisons of import data for 12-month periods ending in November 2002 and 2003, year-to-date import data (i.e. November 2002 versus November 2003), etc. OTEXA's November 2003 Textile and Apparel Trade Balance Report only provides comparisons of year-to-date import data, but also includes year-to-date export and trade balance data.)
